The County consists of sixteen (16) civil townships that incorporate six (6) municipalities such as Clara City, a portion of Granite Falls, and Montevideo. The data was created based upon legal descriptions from the tax parcel database, legal deeds, and platted subdivisions; the known township, county, state and federal road rights of way; PLSS base information; and various other accessory data that was provided by Chippewa County. The data was validated and structured to a tolerance of 0.01 feet.
